Yes, if you are affiliated with a tertiary institution, District Health Board or other CMRF-recognised organisation in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. If you're not sure of your eligibility, ask by using the Get in Touch form at the bottom of this page.

Welcome to the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation

We promote research of high scientific value and purpose in order to improve the medical care of all New Zealanders.

After creating an account you can submit your application for medical research funding. This will be sent to the institution with which you're associated for entry in their records, and will then be assessed by subject matter experts and considered by the CMRF Scientific Advisory Committee. When the process is complete the Committee's decision will be advised by email message.

If you encounter any problems, please use the Get in touch form at the bottom of any page to send a message to the CMRF administrators. You should usually expect a reply within 48 hours.
